Low Back Pain Program
Many People suffer from low back pain for various reasons. Whether they moved wrong, lifted something too heavy, have back injuries, or simply sit too much. People try various methods of relief such as pain medicine; which is not healthy, pain patches or tapes, braces, chiropractors, and much more. The truth is that the only way to alleviate low back pain is to decompress the spine, stretch, and strengthen the core. With my program I will give clients the tools to alleviate and prevent back pain on their own. These tools must be mastered in class before attempting on one’s own.
I am a firm believer in the idea of the pelvis and sacrum being key components to a pain free lower back. I use small pieces of equipment along with a multitude of of stretches in order to reset the sacrum, loosen the pelvis, and open the hips. Once full articulation is achieved, the client will be ready to strengthen the supporting muscles in order to prevent further pain.
Here is what student’s can expect from the program in class and at home:
Use small pieces of equipment and stretching techniques, to loosen up the pelvis and spine
Spend most of the first few classes focusing on these techniques before progressing
Once they progress, the focus will be on isolating the abdominal and oblique muscles safely, as to not bother the back
Most of the work will be on the mat versus large equipment
Must be cleared by a doctor to do a workout program
Classes can be as long as the client can tolerate, starting with 30 minutes working up to an hour
